Competing With Cancer
Shannon Miller, America's most decorated female gymnast, with seven Olympic and nine World Championship medals, tells the story of her journey from superstar athlete to cancer survivor.

"Fourteen years after winning Olympic Gold and just one year into motherhood, I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer."
"While competing at the Olympic qualifier I fell on my first event, the balance beam. The saying was always, ‘You can't fall and win'. However what I learned was that when you fall, you get back up. No matter what, you keep going. I went on to perform some of my best routines and took first place."

"Having cancer has taught me so much about myself, my health and my life. Cancer affects us all whether it's personally, a friend or loved one. We have to fight back. When cancer knocks you down, you get back up. Put one foot in front of the other and keep on going."
