Daniel M. Rose, MD

Daniel Rose, MD joined the CT Challenge Board of Directors in 2011. Dr. Rose also serves as the Medical Director of the CT Challenge Center for Survivorship.

 

Dr. Rose is also the President of the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, a postion he has held since his appointment in April 2009. Dr. Rose has been Chairman of the Board of the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation since 2002 and has been involved with the foundation since its inception in September 2000.

 

Dr. Rose received a BA from Wesleyan University in Middletown, CT in 1969, and a MD from the University of Colorado in 1974. He did a general surgical residency and cardiothoracic surgical residency at NYU/Bellevue hospitals from 1974-82. He also did research at the NIH in 1979-80. Prior to becoming President of the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, Dr. Rose was a practicing cardiothoracic surgeon and the Chief of Cardiothoracic Surgery for 19 years at St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport, CT.
