Raced Across the Sky...thoughts from a contender
March 1, 2010
Last Friday night we featured the Race Across the Sky film documentary featuring the Leadville Trail 100 and Lance Armstrong at the Community Theater in Fairfield, CT. In spite of the weather the attendance was around 400 and about the same at the post party at the Trek Store. It was great to see all of the summer faces we normally get when we have our July fundraising ride and many more new cycling fans. Click here to see some photos from the event!
Special thanks to the Sound Cyclists for supporting our effort and manning the gates as well as the Lou at Trek for hosting a rocking post party. Chris Thomas of PTP was there with his crew and for those survivors and others interested in solid fitness and endurance training you should visit him online and set up an appointment. At the post party there was a band and an open bar which made for a festive evening. There was a brief discussion about the Leadville 100 race and we gave away lots of door prizes. My take was that everyone had a really good time. Hope to do more of these in the near future. Anyone have a suggestion for our next event?
Gone biking!
