Bary Boyd, MD

Director, Integrated Medicine Program, Greenwich Hospital

 

Dr. Boyd has been a practicing Medical Oncologist for 16 years and, in 1998, founded and continues as the Director of the Integrative Medicine Program at Greenwich Hospital-Yale Health Systems.

 

He serves as an editorial board member on the medical journal, Integrative Cancer Therapies, and is a board member of Environment and Human Health, a Yale University based environmental advisory group. In addition to his medical degree, Professor Boyd holds a Masters Degree in Human Nutritional Biochemistry from Columbia University, NY.

 

Dr. Boyd authored "The Missing Link: Insulin and Cancer", as well as numerous medical articles and reviews.

 

Dr. Boyd serves on the American Cancer Society Task Force on Cancer Guidelines, including the Survivorship subcommittee, where he focuses upon the use of adjunct therapies in the cancer survivor, the role of obesity and insulin resistance in cancer recurrence and survival, and the relationship between stress, insulin resistance and outcomes relative to cancer.
