Exercise and Survivorship
Cancer damages tissues, organs, and overall systems in the human body. Many treatments for cancer can do similar damage. Exercise improves the heart's efficiency, and it trains the body to deliver nutrients faster and more readily. Exercise is also a pillar in healthy weight management. These factors make exercise especially important for cancer survivors at every stage of survivorship. Your doctor and trained exercise specialists can help you determine what type of exercise is best for you, but here you will find information about different modes of exercise and the benefits of each.
